Bring the whole family!
We invite you to bring your family with you. There is so much for them to do right at the resort while you attend the symposium – like kayaking, eco tours, fishing and educational children’s programs. Plus you can take advantage of the special room rate to extend your stay through the weekend and enjoy a mini vacation (special rate ends Monday, October 9). The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes is tucked between world-class theme parks and preserved natural habitats, so you can explore the exhilarating destination of Orlando, Florida.
Eco-Tours on Shingle Creek – Travel back in time on a guided 1.5-2 hour Eco-Tour on a kayak or canoe. Temperatures are traditionally 15 cooler and bug free on the creek.
Fishing Excursions – Guests can choose to fish from a Hyde Drift boat (max 2 guests and 1 guide per boat) or up to 5 anglers can travel with a guide on our Outfitter’s golf cart to fish from the shore of one of the 11 stocked ponds or lakes. Guests have a chance to reel in trophy Largemouth bass and catch a glimpse of deer, wild turkey, alligators and more.
Trophy Largemouth Bass Program – Grande Lakes Orlando is collaborating with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to assist in the research and conservation of the Florida Largemouth Bass. Recently, 700 bass were delivered to our lakes. Our Adventure Experiences team and guests scan, measure and weigh each bass they catch and submit the information to FWC. This is a unique opportunity for guests to learn about the Florida Largemouth Bass while engaging in an active research project.
Private Fly Casting Instruction – From the fundamentals to advance casting techniques, anglers of all levels will learn a thing or two from our director of fly fishing, captain Mark Benson, a certified casting instructor from the International Federation of Flky Fishers.
Sunrise Safari – Join a certified master naturalist on a guided trip on the wild side, as you explore the beginning of a new day on the 500 acre Grande Lakes Orlando resort. From the comfort of an all-terrain golf cart, you will have a chance to observe whitetail deer, bobcat otters, alligators, Great Horned Owls and more. Our Audibon Certified Golf Course is bordered by Shingle Creek, the official headwaters of the Florida Everglades and is the perfect setting for an up close look at Florida’s native flora and fauna.
